Robin MacLeod was born and raised here in the Treasure Valley and has lived in Middleton for the past 31 years. Her husband, Jack, is a retired member of the Idaho National Guard. They have four children. She stays busy with her children and grandchildren, spending time with friends, serving in her church, and being involved in the community.
Twenty plus years ago, she saw the shortage of preschools in Middleton, and decided it was time to open one here locally. She originally started with one class in her home and currently has five preschool classes and 2 team teachers. In 2008, she moved the preschool into a commercial location with Theresa Legg, Owner of Little Legg’s Daycare. In Fall 2018, Little Learner's Preschool now has it's own separate location, next door to the Daycare.
Little Learner's Preschool offers a structured two or three hour preschool program for children aged three to five. Little Learner’s Preschool offers two days a week days with either 2 or 3 hour preschool schedule options to fit your needs.
Says Robin, “Young children have abundant energy and unique learning styles. At Little Learner’s Preschool, my classroom is a fun, hands on learning environment developed to meet the needs of the children, strive to get them excited about learning, and ready them for success in school.”
She loves reading and offers many opportunities for the children to begin a lifelong love of books. Storytime is an important part of the classroom. Preschoolers do art projects and creative drama that revolve around the stories. Little Learner’s Preschool also offers a variety of activities in pre-math, science, language, music & movement with plenty of time for social interaction.
“By providing a safe and nurturing environment, my philosophy is that all children can learn at their own rate and develop confidence in their abilities, a positive self image, and a love of trying new opportunities,” adds Robin.
Little Learner’s Preschool program runs September through May and follows the Middleton School District calendar year with the same holiday closure schedule.
